About Northern Bee Studio

Northern Bee Studio is located in the northwoods of Wisconsin.
In 2009, we started dyeing yarn as A Tree Hugger's Wife Yarns.
In 2017, we decided that it was time for a change and we became Northern Bee Studio.The name is a nod to where we live, and the meaning of Melissa's name, "bee" in Greek.
Our logo is a take on the solitary Orchard bee, diligently working on honey production from local flora. It also evokes a snowflake shape - most people associate the North with lots of snow, and winter is our favorite season.
